They have two daughters together. Her previous relationship was an affair with Picasso's grandson Olivier Widmaier Picasso.In 1999, Disney cast Evans alongside Glenn Close, Gerard Depardieu and her husband of the future, Ioan Gruffudd, in the film 102 Dalmatians. Evans's mother died just days prior to Evans's final screen-test for the role, was 59.
